I'm a technical inkpen artist specializing in realistic drawings, each
composed of thousands of small, individual dots of ink. I've developed
this technique because it allows me to create the illusion of light and
shadow, depth and texture. I've created award-winning sketches for
churches, of wildlife and Nevada scenery. I've also created my own line
of wildlife Christmas cards, for the past 30 years, to distribute to
friends, family, co-workers and military personnel. I also enjoy pencil
portraiture and working with oils.
I've lived in Hawthorne, Nevada "America's Patriotic Home" nearly my
entire 56 years of life. I love the high desert as well as the proximity
to Walker Lake and the Wassuk Mountains. From 1973 to 1978 I
attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma; earning my BA in
Commercial Art. While attending ORU I first developed my technique of
pen and ink "dot" drawing.
I feel that each of us has been placed here for a unique purpose, and
that no greater honor exists than to serve our Lord in His special
purpose(s) for us. Perhaps a purpose of mine was the creation of these
bulletin covers, potentially saving your church hundreds or thousands of
dollars, money then better used for your own, unique needs, programs, and missions.
